The incidence of influenza and ARVI in Kyrgyzstan is showing a trend of decline, as reported by representatives of the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

In the eighth week of 2026, from February 16 to 22, a total of 9,119 cases of ARVI and influenza were registered across the country, which is 13.7% less compared to the previous week, when the number of cases was 10,576.

Children under 14 years old make up the majority of those affected — about 72% of the total, which corresponds to 6,568 cases. Of these, 11.8% required hospitalization, amounting to 1,075 cases.

Epidemiological surveillance for severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses continues in Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok.
