According to him, in 2024, car owners received 4.3 million soms in payments, and in 2025, 901 cases were settled, with a total amount of 86.5 million soms.
The number of OSAGO policies issued was about 74 thousand in 2024 and more than 350 thousand in 2025.
“As of January 1, 2026, the number of active policies exceeded 18 thousand. This indicates that OSAGO has firmly entered the lives of our citizens. Although some may obtain insurance solely to comply with the law, many do so consciously for their own safety,” noted Turumbekov.
In Kyrgyzstan, there are over 1.7 million registered vehicles, and more than half of them have OSAGO policies.

Since July 1, 2025, fines have been introduced for the absence of OSAGO policies: for individuals, the fine is 3 thousand soms, and for legal entities, it is 13 thousand soms.
