In Bishkek, local residents have noticed ongoing work to repair the facade of the Kyrgyz State Institute of Physical Culture, which is a monument of architecture of national significance.

According to the townspeople, such changes could lead to the loss of the historical appearance of the building, raising doubts about the legality of the current works.

Bishkek residents have sent a request to the Ministry of Culture demanding clarification on whether these works were approved and if official permission was obtained from the agency. According to the legislation, any changes, insulation, and installation work on objects that have the status of a monument of architecture require mandatory approval from experts and the relevant ministry.

It is important to note that preserving the exterior appearance of the building is a mandatory requirement of the law, and any interventions must consider the principles of cultural heritage protection.

Additionally, the city's residents remind that the current president of the Kyrgyz Republic is an alumnus of this institute, which strengthens their hope that he will pay attention to this situation and initiate an inspection to ensure the preservation of this historically significant object.
