As of March 11 of this year, 1,825 applications have been registered in Kyrgyzstan for participation in the "Social Contract" program. Contracts have already been signed with 607 families, with 341 projects focused on agriculture. The Ministry of Labor reports that the application process is ongoing.

Since 2022, at the initiative of the country's president, the "Social Contract" program has been implemented, aimed at supporting low-income families.

Over four years of project implementation, contracts have been signed with 48,557 families who are developing their business ideas. Agriculture accounts for 73.3% of all projects, 13.8% is in production, 6.7% in trade, and 6.2% in services.

Initially, the amount of social assistance under the contract was 100,000 soms, but starting in 2025, it will increase to 150,000. Among the first recipients of social contracts, 14 families have achieved an annual income of over 1 million soms.

Interestingly, 94.2% of program participants are women, the majority of whom live in rural areas. Thanks to the implementation of the program, more than 57,000 new jobs have been created.

In 2026, 13,333 low-income and needy families across the country will be able to receive 150,000 soms each under the "Social Contract" program.
