Expressing gratitude to the board members for their trust, Novikov noted that he looks forward to fruitful cooperation in the development of basketball in the country.
“I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to lead the Basketball Federation. Currently, issues of sports and youth sports culture are on the agenda, and this is an important aspect for our country,” he emphasized.
Niiaz Isakov, the chairman of the federation's board, congratulated Novikov on his election and expressed confidence that his management experience will contribute to the development of basketball in the republic.
“We believe that under your leadership, Kyrgyz basketball will receive a new impetus for development,” he added.
Artem Novikov previously held the position of Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and is currently the chairman of the board of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
