The energy system will be updated in the Batken region

The update of electrical equipment has begun in the Batken region, carried out by the local electric grid enterprise. This work is aimed at preparing for the autumn-winter season of 2026–2027, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

This year, a number of significant activities are planned throughout the region, which will help improve the condition of the power grids and ensure stable electricity supply for consumers.

Regarding the 6-10/0.4 kV transformers:

- a major overhaul of 284 transformers will be conducted;

- 1632 transformers are planned to be serviced technically.

For the 6-10/0.4 kV overhead lines:

- the major overhaul will cover 1538 km of overhead lines;

- technical maintenance will take place on 3847 km of overhead lines.

As for the high-voltage overhead lines of 220/110/35 kV:

- 1400 km of overhead lines will be surveyed, of which 20 km will undergo major repairs, while 1380 km will receive scheduled current repairs. The installation of 8772 new glass insulators is also planned.

Within the framework of work on the 220/110/35 kV substations:

- 5 substations will be overhauled;

- 45 substations will undergo scheduled current repairs.

Additionally, the region plans to install 54,587 units of smart metering devices (AMR). In some settlements, 32 km of self-supporting insulated wires SIP-2 and SIP-3 will also be laid.

As emphasized by the ministry, one of the key objectives of these activities is to enhance the reliability of power grids, reduce technical losses, and provide consumers with quality and stable electricity supply.
