
The grand opening of the program is scheduled for March 24 at 16:00 at the Russian House in Bishkek. Guests will be offered a creative evening titled "Night, Street, Lantern…," where Blok's poems will be performed by participants of the literary club "Жаңы толкун" ("New Wave") in two languages. The program will also pay attention to the legacy of Mikhail Bulgakov, who this year marks the 135th anniversary of his birth and the 60th anniversary of the first publication of his iconic novel "The Master and Margarita." On March 26 at 16:00 at the Russian House, there will be a screening of the documentary film "Running from Fate," in which viewers will see an interesting dialogue between writer Alexei Varlamov and Bulgakov in the famous "unpleasant apartment." The program will conclude with the opening of the exhibition "The Fantastic World of Mikhail Bulgakov," which will take place on March 27 at 17:00 at the Ch. Aitmatov State National Russian Drama Theater. Visitors can expect archival photographs, rare documents, and theatrical posters. Special attention will be given to the parallels between the works "The Master and Margarita" and Chingiz Aitmatov's "The Plague." Anna Esparsa will conduct a theatrical tour and hold a prize draw among participants passionate about literature. Admission to the exhibition is free, and immediately after it, at 18:00, viewers will be able to see the play "The Master and Margarita"; tickets can be purchased on the Ticket.kg website.
In addition to cultural events, Anna Esparsa will visit leading humanitarian universities in Bishkek and Osh, where she will present the project "School of Young Translators." These events are organized by the ANO "Translation Institute" with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyrgyzstan. Anna Esparsa is a Doctor of Historical Sciences and the author of the popular lecture series "Dostoevsky." In her previous visits, she has already conducted successful projects dedicated to great Russian poets such as Pushkin, Yesenin, and Lermontov, consistently attracting full halls of classical literature enthusiasts.
