Initially, the restriction was imposed by the Batken District State Administration until 2027. However, following the directive from the president's representative, the moratorium has been extended by three years.
According to Ashirkulov, the ban, which has been in place since 2023, is already yielding results: the population of the Aigul flower has significantly increased.
Foresters distribute the seeds across the reserve when they ripen in June. The exclusion of human interference promotes more active reproduction of the flower.

He also noted that there is no water or electricity in the "Aigul-Tash" area, which creates additional difficulties for artificial greening.
The reason for closing the reserve was the decline in the population of the rare plant, as visitors often picked and trampled the unique flowers.
The Aigul flower (Fritillaria eduardii) is an endemic plant that is found only on the slopes of Mount Aigul-Tash, located 17 kilometers from the city of Batken. The flowering begins in early April and lasts only about two weeks. The area of the state reserve is 253.9 hectares. In 1978, this species was listed in the Red Book of the USSR, and in 2004 it was included in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan.
