Nurlana Motueva Sentenced to a Fine in Defamation and Insult Case

In February 2026, the Lenin District Court of Bishkek imposed a fine of 20,000 soms on Nurlan Motuev. This information was confirmed in court.

Motuev was charged under Article 107 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning defamation and insults in mass media or on internet resources. The fine was imposed for disseminating information related to a case in which Khabibi Ulanova acted as the plaintiff and Mirbek Miyarov as the defendant. At the same time, Ulanova filed a lawsuit against Motuev, demanding that he be held accountable.

The decision of the Lenin District Court was appealed in the Bishkek City Court; however, on March 19, it was upheld.

Additionally, earlier Nurlan Motuev made various statements on social media. In July 2025, he was taken to the Sverdlovsk District Police Department for questioning regarding one of his videos. During the conversation, Motuev displayed aggression and used obscene language towards the police officers. As a result, he was sentenced to five days in jail for petty hooliganism.
