The 'Lokomotiv Manas' team, representing Kyrgyzstan, continues its performances within the UCI Europe Tour, where it will participate in one-day races in Slovenia on March 22 and 26. This information was announced by the Cycling Federation of Kyrgyzstan.
On March 22, the athletes will start in the Grand Prix Slovenian Istria race (category 1.2), and on March 26, they will participate in the Grand Prix Brda–Collio (also category 1.2).
It is worth noting that the UCI Europe Tour is a continental tour organized by the International Cycling Union (UCI), which includes road cycling races held across Europe throughout the season.
The UCI Europe Tour features both one-day and multi-day races, varying in difficulty levels. Each race is assigned a specific category (for example, 1.2, 2.2, 1.1, 2.1, and above), which affects its status and the number of ranking points awarded.
Participation in this tournament allows teams and riders to earn points for individual and team UCI rankings, which, in turn, impacts their chances of competing in more prestigious events.
Additionally, the 'Lokomotiv Manas' team plans to participate in the UCI Asia Tour races. The first starts are scheduled for April in Uzbekistan, where the team will continue its fight for ranking points and the accumulation of international experience.
