What changes can consumers expect due to the prolonged absence of water in the system?
The Bishkek City Hall has informed that new tariffs for hot water will come into effect from March 1, 2026.

According to the municipality, the changes were approved by an order from the Department for Regulation of the Fuel and Energy Complex under the Ministry of Energy, numbered 42, dated March 10, 2026.
“According to this order, a new tariff for hot water (excluding taxes) will be introduced from March 1, 2026. The heating tariff will remain the same. The new tariff will be applied when calculating payments for hot water supply from the specified date. We urge citizens to take this change into account when planning their utility expenses,” the city administration noted.
It is also worth mentioning that the annual increase in tariffs for hot water supply was previously established by the government. At the same time, energy companies urged people not to abandon centralized hot water supply in favor of water heaters.
Furthermore, the mayor of the capital also announced plans for the city to refuse services from the CHPP in the future.
