According to Muzulmanov, "Elementary school ends after the fourth grade. The number of formed first grades will depend on the number of released teachers."
At the moment, the size of the quota has not yet been approved.
It is also worth noting that the ministry has previously approved new rules for the electronic registration of children. According to these rules, in the "Electronic Registration" system, the number of places in the first grade will be determined automatically based on data about the number of students in the fourth grades from the previous academic year.
If there are:
- more than 42 students in each fourth grade class — 42 places will be opened in the first grade;
- from 25 to 41 students — the number of places in the first grade will correspond to the actual number of students; however, the school principal may increase the quota to 42 places, but no later than three working days before the start of the first stage of electronic registration;
- fewer than 25 students — at least 25 places will be established in the first grade.
