An important event in the aviation sector took place in Kyrgyzstan: China Southern Airlines operated the first flight on a new international route between Guangzhou and Bishkek. This route is being opened for the first time and is already generating significant interest among passengers.
According to information from the press service of JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," the first flight brought 134 passengers to Manas Airport, while 104 people flew back to Guangzhou. Flights on this route will be operated twice a week — on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The opening of the new route was made possible thanks to the coordinated work of the team at JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" and active cooperation with Chinese partners.
It is expected that the launch of this route will provide new opportunities for the development of both passenger and cargo transportation, as well as contribute to strengthening various ties between Kyrgyzstan and China.
“This flight is a significant step towards expanding the route network and enhancing the international connectivity of Kyrgyzstan. We see great potential in this route for both passenger and cargo transportation,” commented Aman Mamaev, the Commercial Director of JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," on the launch.
It is also worth noting that China Southern Airlines already operates flights from Bishkek to Beijing six times a week. In the future, JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" plans to continue expanding its route network by attracting new airlines and creating comfortable conditions for passengers and business partners.
