The football club "Bars" from the Issyk-Kul region has become the champion of Kyrgyzstan among Premier League teams.

The team, representing Karakol, finished in first place in the standings, earning 61 points from 26 matches. They surpassed "Muras United" from Manas by just one point.

The "Bars" club was founded in December 2024, and the first coach of the team was Alexander Krestinin, who invited Valery Kichin — the captain of the Kyrgyzstan national team — to join. Both had previously worked together at Tashkent's "Lokomotiv" during that period.

According to information from Transfermarkt, Kichin spent 2070 minutes on the field in 24 of the 26 possible games of the season, scoring two goals and providing five assists.

Kichin began his career in the reserves of "Alga," and in 2008 he signed a contract with "Abdysh-Ata." A year later, he became a player for "Dordoi-Dynamo," initially playing for the second team, and then in 2012 he joined the main squad, where he won the title of national champion.

After participating in the Commonwealth Cup in 2013, the defender signed a contract with "Volga" from Nizhny Novgorod, marking his debut in the Russian Premier League and the start of his career abroad.

Throughout his career, Kichin has played in the FNL, the Belarusian Premier League, and the Uzbek Super League.

In 2025, he returned to the Kyrgyzstan championship and became the national champion again!
