UFC Hall of Famer and former fighter of the organization, Urijah Faber, shared his opinion on a potential fight between Myktybek Orolbai uulu and Islam Makhachev.

Myktybek, representing Kyrgyzstan, secured his fourth victory in the UFC by knocking out Jack Hermansson in the first round on the night of November 23 in Doha.

- Is Myktybek Orolbai uulu a future champion?

- Absolutely, it’s hard to find someone who can match his dedication. While in training camp, he throws himself into the lion's den. He went to Dagestan and immersed himself in intense training. He is always looking for challenges and fears no one. I love that spirit. Nothing distracts him — neither women nor alcohol, just 100% focus. He is on the path to championship.

- Which weight class suits him better — lightweight or welterweight?

- I believe he should continue to develop technically. In my opinion, 77 kg is his weight, where he has already achieved two significant victories. He can compete successfully in this division, although he sometimes struggles to maintain the required weight. I want him to stay strong, healthy, and keep training.

- How do you assess a potential fight with Islam Makhachev?

- I think it could be a magnificent fight over time. There are many aspects to work on, but he believes in his victory already. We need to make sure he leaves no vulnerabilities that Islam can exploit. A champion like Islam is always looking for weaknesses and capitalizing on them. I’m sure Myktybek would like to face him right now, but I would prefer for it to happen after a few more fights.
