Today, January 12, the third match of the Kyrgyzstan national football team (U-23) will take place at the Asian Youth Cup in Saudi Arabia.

The Kyrgyz team will face the Jordanian players, with the match scheduled to start at 22:30 Bishkek time.

Currently, after two games, Jordan has 3 points and is in 2nd place in Group A, while Kyrgyzstan is in 4th place with 0 points. The Kyrgyz team has a chance to advance to the playoffs, but they need to defeat the Jordanians by at least two goals and also hope for a victory by Vietnam over Saudi Arabia.

At the Olympic level, Kyrgyzstan and Jordan have met three times.

The first encounter took place in 2014 at the Asian Games in Korea, where the teams faced off in the Round of 16. The match ended in a goalless draw after regular time, and in extra time, the Jordanians scored twice, winning 2:0.

A year later, the teams met again in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup, which was held in Al Ain (UAE), and that time the Kyrgyz team suffered a defeat with a score of 0:4.

In 2019, Kyrgyzstan and Jordan faced each other again in the qualifying tournament for the Asian Cup, which took place in Kuwait. In this match, held in the second round, the Jordanians won 3:0, with one of the goals scored by Musa Al-Tamari, one of the key players of the current Jordanian national team.
