The team was placed in Group A, where it had to compete against the tournament hosts — the Saudi Arabian national team, as well as the teams from Vietnam and Jordan.
Under the guidance of Edmar Lacerda, the Kyrgyzstani team was unable to secure a single victory, suffering defeats in all three matches and finishing last, in fourth place in the group.
Vietnam and Jordan advanced to the playoffs, while Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan ended their participation in the tournament.
