The deputies of the new VIII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh took the oath, starting their work with the first session, which was chaired by 69-year-old Gulai Mashrapova, the oldest member of parliament.

At the ceremony, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, presented deputy badges to the newly elected deputies.

In the meeting hall, President Sadyr Japarov and members of the Cabinet of Ministers were present.

The early elections to the parliament took place on November 30, during which the country was divided into 30 electoral districts, with three deputies elected from each district. However, the election results in district No. 13 were declared invalid, and repeat elections have been scheduled there.

The Central Election Commission registered 87 deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh.
