87 deputies elected in the early elections held on November 30 are present at the meeting, along with President Sadyr Japarov. In constituency No. 13, three more deputies will be elected in repeat elections, as the voting results there were annulled.
The Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, members of the government, and representatives of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums are also present in the parliament.
The session opened with the national anthem of Kyrgyzstan. Gulai Mashrapova (constituency No. 7), the senior deputy, will preside until the election of the speaker.
Tynchtyk Shainazarov, head of the CEC, began the presentation of badges and identification cards to the deputies.
