He noted that the first meeting of the new convocation is scheduled for December 17, which will be attended by President Sadyr Japarov.
Bekeshev explained: "At the meeting, the deputies will take an oath, after which we will proceed to the election of the speaker, his deputies, and the chairpersons of the committees. The structure of the Jogorku Kenesh will be formed faster than last time. <...> The speaker will remain Nurlanbek Shakiev. All three deputies are new, but they were previously deputies, you could say, practically young. We will have eight committees, among which there will be no fuel and energy committee, but there will be a committee on science and education," he added.
In addition, he mentioned that deputies have started to unite into groups.
According to him, five deputy groups have already been formed. "Almost all deputies have joined one group or another. I also decided to join, as it simplifies the resolution of voter issues. Of course, it is easier and more comfortable to work alone, but solving problems is significantly more difficult. Grouped deputies are more easily heard by the heads of state bodies and local self-government, they are easier to influence, and this is done legally. I am not talking about any illegal actions, but about promoting the interests of voters. It is also important that this group will include deputies with serious powers. You will probably learn about this tomorrow," Bekeshev noted.
He also added that some deputies have started to allocate offices.
According to him: "Some have already started choosing offices. Those who were not re-elected have left their previous offices. I also, by the way, moved to another office, although I remained on the same third floor. It’s an ordinary office, not ambitious," he said.
Let us remind you that the composition of the VII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh included:
