A new voting procedure has been introduced to combat absent deputies
Starting from January 2026, a biometric voting system will be implemented in the Jogorku Kenesh, allowing deputies to register and vote only using their fingerprints.
This decision was made to prevent cases of voting on behalf of absent representatives, which has previously drawn criticism towards parliamentarians and caused dissatisfaction among citizens.
The first meeting of the new composition of deputies will take place on December 17.
