In the early elections for the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, citizens were able to take advantage of remote voting, which allowed them to vote even while being outside their constituencies. This was reported by Akbalyk Jumalieva, a member of the Central Election Commission.

She noted that compared to previous parliamentary elections, the number of voters who exercised their right to vote significantly increased, which is primarily related to the digitization of the voting process.

Jumalieva also emphasized that previously many citizens, while being internally displaced, lost the opportunity to participate in elections. This often happened due to work commitments, as they could not return to their polling station in time to vote.

“This time, voters were able to vote while being outside their constituency, and many of them expressed their gratitude by sharing their impressions on social media,” the CEC representative said.
