The Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, stated at a recent briefing that the introduction of remote voting has significantly increased voter turnout compared to previous elections.
He noted that any citizen of Kyrgyzstan can vote at a polling station from anywhere in the world.
“For example, I am a voter from the 8th district, and today I am in Bishkek. I used the remote voting system and voted at the polling station located in the ‘Dordoy Plaza’ shopping center for my district in the south of the country,” Shainazarov added.
