- Previously, Atazhanov served as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the 7th convocation.
At the meeting, information was presented by the working group of the CEC, which received a complaint about the candidate. The commission's lawyer pointed out that during monitoring of social networks, facts were discovered regarding the conduct of campaign events in a mosque, as well as the placement of the candidate's banner on an arch at the entrance to the village of Birlik. In addition, the candidate signed agreements with residents of the village of Maidan, in which he promised to build social facilities. According to current legislation, conducting campaigning in religious institutions, installing banners in prohibited places, and carrying out charitable events are not allowed.
In connection with the identified violations, the working group of the CEC proposed imposing a fine on the candidate of 7,500 soms for each of the two violations, as well as issuing a warning for other violations committed.
The chairman of the CEC, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, suggested that the working group reconsider this decision and consider the possibility of suspending the candidate for repeated violations of election legislation.
The working group was to study Shainazarov's proposal within an hour and prepare the issue for further discussion.
