The Central Election Commission (CEC) on November 2 decided not to register Venera Saparbekovna Koichieva as a candidate for the multi-mandate electoral district No. 29 in the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. This was reported by the CEC.

Koichieva submitted her candidacy on October 20. However, the CEC working group concluded that she does not meet the requirements established by law for candidates to the Jogorku Kenesh and recommended denying her registration.

According to a document from the Border Service of the State National Security Committee dated October 28, 2025, it was found that Koichieva does not meet the criteria of part 4 of Article 59 of the constitutional law "On the Elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic," which states that a candidate must have permanently resided in the country for at least five years prior to nomination. In particular, Koichieva spent 269 days outside Kyrgyzstan from October 20, 2021, to October 10, 2022, and 186 days from October 26, 2022, to October 13, 2023, which confirms her non-compliance with this requirement.
