The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums on November 27 again analyzed materials related to violations of election campaigning by the candidate for the Jogorku Kenesh from district No. 2, Yrysbek Atazhanov.
As reported by the lawyer of the CEC, during the monitoring of social networks, instances of campaign events held by the candidate in mosques were identified. In addition, a banner featuring the candidate was installed on the arch leading to the village of Birlik. Furthermore, a video captured him signing an agreement with the residents of the village of Maidan, in which he promises the construction of social facilities. According to the legislation, candidates are prohibited from conducting campaigning in religious institutions, installing banners in prohibited places, and holding charitable events.

Earlier, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, head of the CEC, proposed to exclude the candidate from the election race due to repeated violations of established requirements.
The working group of the CEC recommended imposing a fine of 20,000 soms for the first violation, 7,500 soms for the second, and issuing a warning for the third. The commission members supported the recommendations of the working group and approved them. Shainazarov's proposal was not included in the working group's decision.
