Today, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums reviewed cases of violations of pre-election campaigning, resulting in decisions to impose fines on two candidates for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh.

According to the press service of the CEC, the Working Group on Voter Information conducted monitoring of social networks and discovered that photos and videos had been posted on Facebook showing meetings of Chingiz Aydarbekov, a candidate from electoral district No. 21 (Lenin District of Bishkek), with voters before the official campaigning period began.

Another candidate, Torokan Junusbekov, representing district No. 25 (Kant, Issyk-Ata District of Chui Region), also came under scrutiny for violations. The Issyk-Ata District Police Department reported his campaigning in a mosque, which contradicts the legislation.
According to law enforcement agencies, such actions are not permitted.
The Working Group proposed to introduce measures of accountability for both candidates. The Central Election Commission instructed the authorized official to prepare protocols for administrative offenses and impose a fine of 75 calculated indicators (which amounts to 7,500 soms) on each of them.

The early elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh will take place on November 30. The elections will be conducted under a majoritarian system, within which 90 deputies will be elected from 30 multi-mandate districts, three from each district.
