Belogorka
To get to the Belogorsk Gorge, you need to drive to Sokuluk or Aleksandrovka and turn towards the mountains. The Soviet settlement of Belogorka is now called Tash-Bulak; by Kyrgyz standards, it is a prosperous village: the houses are solid, there is a lot of livestock, but, as everywhere in Kyrgyzstan, signs of post-Soviet decay are visible. There is still mobile phone service here, but it disappears further up the gorge.
The road continues along the turbulent Sokuluk River, and occasionally you can see yurts, but there is no significant tourist activity, despite the proximity to the capital.
One and a half kilometers before the waterfall, the road turns into a radial gorge and soon becomes a cattle trail. I didn't go to the waterfall because everyone had already visited it the day before, and we were already off schedule. The waterfall is high, about 60 meters, and only water mist reaches the ground, which is very beautiful. In the thickets along the river, you can find bushes of various wild berries. The altitude is about 2100 meters; it is hot during the day and cold at night.
