At the Face of Asia 2025 contest, held from October 17 to November 1 in South Korea as part of the Asia Model Festival, models from Kyrgyzstan won the Grand Prix. This was reported by Aizhamal Osmonova, the national director of the Face of Kyrgyzstan project and Asia Model Festival.
Three Kyrgyz models participated in the competition: 18-year-old Adelina Zarya, 18-year-old Turgunbek Anarbekov, and 22-year-old Aitolgona Almaz kyzy. Adelina Zarya, who stood out among more than 100 competitors from 25 countries, took first place.
The organizers of the contest emphasize that victory is not only awarded for appearance but also for discipline, friendliness, respect for others, and upbringing.
As part of the festival, the models trained in a model camp, participated in advertising projects, and mastered the KPOP direction, honing their modeling skills.
“On the runway, the models showcased designer outfits, traditional Kyrgyz costumes, and evening dresses, telling about the culture of their people through videos that highlighted the uniqueness of our culture, the beauty of nature, and traditions,” Osmonova shared.
Additionally, the country was represented by 9 young models: Milana Suyorbekova, Ayaru Rasul kyzy, Gauhar Mekebai, Aina Sansyzbaeva, Naima Sansyzbaeva, Ramzan Turganaliyev, Aiday Suyorkulova, Medina Sultannazirova, and Ayana Kubanychbekova. The title of Fashion Icon Award was awarded to Ayaru Rasul kyzy.
There was also a competition for senior women, where model Aliya Aytimbetova received a sponsorship nomination from the jury.
As part of the festival, a grand red carpet event took place with the participation of KPOP stars and celebrities from 25 Asian countries who shone on stage.
The project director clarified that the winners received modeling contracts and a chance to develop their careers in South Korea, collaborating with global brands at prestigious fashion shows and advertising projects.
