Today, November 30, on the day of the extraordinary elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, international observers at polling station No. 7281 in the village of Aleksandrovka in the Moscow district noted the high activity of voters and expressed admiration for the national headdress — the kalpak.

This was reported by a correspondent from Turmush.

Polling station No. 7281 is located in an area predominantly inhabited by the Dungan population.

According to the data from the precinct electoral commission, a total of 2,298 voters are registered at this station. As of 1:00 PM, 727 people had voted.

International observers were interested in photographing the Kyrgyz kalpak displayed in the corner and took pictures next to it.

“Good conditions have been created for voters, and modern technologies are being used. There are many people in line, which indicates high activity. We were especially impressed by the kalpak — its large size, shape, and appearance left an impression,” said international observer Lilia Pinyayeva.
