Gorbunov Leonty Vladimirovich
Graphic artist. Born on June 17, 1929, in the village of Semyonovka, Akmolinsk region, Tselinograd area of the Kazakh SSR. In 1956, he graduated from the Frunze Art School. He has been participating in exhibitions since 1962.
Since 1979, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Lives in the city of Osh. He works predominantly in watercolor. He paints on wet paper and uses modern techniques of watercolor painting. The artist's creative growth has been facilitated by his work in traveling all-Union groups of watercolorists. Gorbunov has created a whole artistic chronicle of life in various corners of the vast country, the former USSR. Many of his works are dedicated to the south of the republic, which serves as an inexhaustible source of creative inspiration for him.
Participant in republican and international exhibitions. His works are housed in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, in museums of the CIS, as well as in private collections.
