Kaiypova Zhumabyuby


Applied artist. Born on January 29, 1949, in the collective farm "Pogranichnik" of the At-Bashinsky district. In 1974, she graduated from the Frunze Women's Pedagogical Institute. From 1982 to 1991, she worked as a master at the Folk Applied Arts School No. 19 (now No. 92, T. Chokmorova), and since 1991, she has been teaching at the I. Arabayev Kyrgyz State Pedagogical University.

Since 1996, she has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic. Turning to traditional national materials and techniques (ala-kiyiz and terme), using embroidery on hand-woven and naturally dyed fabrics, she brings unique motifs, her spirit, and her individual touch into her works. She has participated in republican, all-union, and international exhibitions. Kaiypova's works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts, as well as in private collections abroad.
