- According to the latest data, rapeseed production in Kazakhstan is expected to increase by 74.8% in the 2025/26 season. These figures were released in December by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The estimated harvest volume of this oilseed crop will be around 500 thousand tons, significantly exceeding the approximately 290 thousand tons harvested in the previous year.

Compared to the harvest two years ago, rapeseed production is expected to increase fourfold.

The marketing year for rapeseed in Kazakhstan runs from July of the current year to June of the following year.

Global rapeseed usage is mainly distributed among various sectors: 55% is used for producing cooking oil, 35-40% is used as animal feed in the form of meal, and 15-18% is processed into biofuel.
