Days of Cinema of Turkic-speaking Countries in Bishkek
The Days of Cinema of Turkic-speaking Countries are taking place for the first time in Bishkek.
Five films are presented at the festival. These include the Azerbaijani film "Red Garden," the Kazakh film "Oralman," and the Turkish films "Wheat" and "Ayla." The competition was opened by the Kyrgyz melodrama "Night Battle," which won the Grand Prix at the international film festival in Estonia.
“This event is of great significance for all of us. The festival shows us how much we have in common, how close we are. Moreover, here I have found true professionals with whom I would like to collaborate in the future,” said director, screenwriter, and producer Semih Kaplanoglu.
The festival will last for four days.
Film screenings are taking place as part of the sixth meeting of the Commission on Social and Cultural Issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries.
