According to him, some people associate the improvement in the situation with warm weather; however, in other countries with higher temperature regimes, high levels of pollution are also observed. An example is Beijing, which ranked second in the list of the most polluted cities on February 12, the mayor added.
Junushaliev emphasized that dust and landfills also affect air quality.
"The work of the municipal inspection has led to a reduction in dust levels over the year. Additionally, the cleaning of riverbeds has also contributed to the decrease in dust pollution," the mayor believes.
He also spoke about the comprehensive measures being taken to address the smog problem, including the gasification of residential areas, tree planting, the construction of a waste incineration plant, and other initiatives.
