At the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, raised several important issues that require careful consideration and joint actions from the member states of the Union.

He pointed out that over the past ten years, mutual trade among the member states has doubled, reaching 100 billion dollars. However, despite this, the share of trade within the Union remains low, accounting for less than 15%.

Kasymaliev noted that 98% of Kyrgyzstan's mutual trade is with Russia and Kazakhstan, highlighting their significance for the country's economy. At the same time, he pointed out the insufficient utilization of trade potential with Armenia and Belarus.

“To achieve an expansion of the structure of mutual trade, it is necessary to jointly improve access conditions not only to raw materials and financial resources but also to modern technologies. The strategic goal before us is to create modern production chains, stimulate innovations, and strengthen technological sovereignty,” he added.
