At the recent 24th ministerial conference of CAREC, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, announced the country's intention to strengthen regional ties, develop trade, and modernize transport infrastructure. This was reported by the government press service.

He emphasized that CAREC is an effective tool for enhancing interconnections in the region, supporting trade and investment, as well as accelerating economic growth and strengthening stability.

“Together with development partners such as the Asian Development Bank, several regional projects are being implemented that contribute to overall progress within CAREC. This allows for the quality implementation of projects through the provision of technical consultations. CAREC initiatives provide access to regional markets and services, facilitating trade growth and positioning Kyrgyzstan as a regional hub,” added Kasymaliev.

He also expressed readiness to expand and deepen trade and economic cooperation, as well as modernize transport corridors to increase trade volumes between countries.

Kasymaliev stressed that to improve transport and logistics connectivity, it is necessary to increase investments in the modernization of existing transport routes, as well as in the construction of new main railways within Kyrgyzstan, integrating them into international multimodal corridors.

“For the effective development of regional trade, it is extremely important to implement national information systems of a 'single window' that will allow businesses and government agencies in CAREC countries to process all necessary documents and permits in the field of foreign trade. Without investments in human capital, integration and development of the region's economies are impossible. Therefore, we consider the creation of national information systems for the labor market for further integration to be important,” concluded Adylbek Kasymaliev.

In conclusion, he noted that Kyrgyzstan, as an active participant in the CAREC program, confirms its readiness to implement mutually beneficial initiatives within this program.

During the event, several important documents were signed.
