At the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, emphasized the importance of electronic commerce, noting that it is one of the main drivers of the modern economy.
He highlighted that the Union is already taking steps to create the necessary conditions for its stable growth; however, the existing regulations do not cover all aspects of the rapidly developing electronic commerce within the Union.
According to the head of the Cabinet, it is important to develop measures to eliminate uncertainties regarding taxation and the identification of recipients when sending goods for sale through marketplaces.
“Our joint task is to ensure the real accessibility of the common market for businesses from all member countries, which implies the systematic removal of excessive barriers, increasing regulatory transparency, and creating a comfortable, predictable environment. Kyrgyzstan has always maintained that entrepreneurs, regardless of scale and location, should have access to unified, clear rules, modern digital services, and standardized procedures for effective operation in the common market of the Union,” he noted, adding that the importance of developing human capital should not be overlooked. Expanding cooperation in the educational sphere and recognizing qualifications will create a unified space of opportunities for citizens of the EAEU countries and increase the integration potential of the Union.
