He stressed that mercy and compassion should be the foundation for social and economic decisions at the state level, not just a personal value for each citizen.
In Kyrgyzstan, there are about 221 thousand people with disabilities, of which more than 37 thousand are children. This issue requires a comprehensive and systematic approach.Kasymaliev noted that state policy in this area is aimed not only at providing material assistance but also at creating conditions for obtaining quality education, vocational training, as well as developing accessible infrastructure and improving employment opportunities.
He also highlighted the importance of preventive measures to reduce the causes of disability, including protecting the health of the population and preventing road traffic accidents.The Prime Minister pointed out that in the context of technological progress, the focus in various fields is shifting from physical labor to intellectual work, which opens new opportunities for people with disabilities, thanks to digitalization and workplace adaptation.
In his address, Kasymaliev also noted that government authorities, civil society, and social services are working together to improve the accessibility of educational institutions, public spaces, and digital platforms, as well as to enhance rehabilitation services.
In conclusion of his statement, the head of the cabinet expressed gratitude to the parents and relatives of people with disabilities, as well as to social workers, educators, and volunteers for their selfless work and support.
