“Dear compatriots!
Every year on December 3, we, like the entire global community, celebrate a day dedicated to the protection of the rights of people with special needs. This day serves as a reminder of the necessity for their active inclusion in public life.
Demonstrating compassion and mercy is an important indicator of the cultural and civilizational development of our people. Such an attitude should be inherent in each of us and requires support at the state level in the form of specific policies, as well as concrete social and economic measures.
Caring for people with disabilities should be a heartfelt concern of every citizen and implies taking specific actions at the state level.
In our country, there are about 221 thousand people with disabilities, of which more than 37 thousand are children. This issue requires serious attention and solutions at the state level. To improve the situation, the government does not limit itself to just providing benefits and material assistance but is also actively working to ensure full education, vocational training, quality social services, rehabilitation, and the creation of accessible infrastructure, as well as support in the labor market.
At the same time, attention is also focused on the causes of disabilities, and measures are being taken to prevent road accidents and other incidents, caring for the health of every citizen and ensuring early treatment of diseases to avoid their progression.
In the context of the industrial and technotronic era, the emphasis in various fields is shifting from physical strength to intellect, which opens new horizons for people with disabilities. This has become especially possible due to digitalization. On one hand, internet resources for education are developing, and on the other hand, convenient workplaces for citizens with special needs are being created.
Government and municipal authorities, as well as civil society, social services, and volunteers, are working together to improve rehabilitation services, increase the accessibility of educational institutions and public spaces, and enhance the inclusivity of digital platforms. This creates conditions for people with disabilities to become full-fledged members of society.
Dear compatriots!
Our compassion, care, and ability to support each other have always been a strong point of our people. Supporting people with special needs is our common duty. The government will continue its consistent and systematic work in this direction.
I express my gratitude to parents and relatives who tirelessly care for the health, education, and future of their children and people with special needs, as well as to social workers, doctors, teachers, and volunteers for their selfless labor.
I wish everyone good health, resilience, and well-being. Our common goal is to create a society where every citizen can realize their potential.”
