An event against gender violence took place at the National Historical Museum

An event dedicated to the global 16-day campaign against violence towards women took place at the National Historical Museum, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

Representatives from various agencies attended the event, including the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Digital Development, as well as diplomats, international organizations, law enforcement agencies, and local authorities.

The Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, in his speech, emphasized that active work is being carried out at the state level in Kyrgyzstan to protect women's rights. He noted that laws are being amended and attention is being focused on addressing social issues.

The UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan, Antje Grave, presented a report on gender issues faced by the global community and discussed the ongoing work and reforms in this area in Kyrgyzstan.
