In his address, Kasymaliev noted that 94 years ago the first radio broadcast was launched in Kyrgyzstan, and 67 years ago television broadcasts began. He also reminded that 30 years ago a decision was made to celebrate the professional day of workers in this field. According to the head of the cabinet, in this relatively short period, radio and television have become important elements of public life, providing citizens not only with information but also with moral support.
He emphasized that considering the rapid progress of information technologies, mass media play a key role in shaping public opinion, supporting spiritual and national values, as well as ensuring transparency of state policy for citizens.
Kasymaliev also highlighted the significant achievements of television and radio workers in strengthening state unity, maintaining civil peace and harmony, as well as providing objective and comprehensive information to the population. He mentioned noticeable improvements in the industry, such as the modernization of the material and technical base, equipping with modern equipment, and enhancing the quality of television and radio programs, including content in the state language.
In concluding his congratulatory message, Kasymaliev expressed confidence in the high level of professionalism and creativity of the workers in this field. He emphasized their important role in covering the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030, preparing for the World Nomad Games in 2026, reviving the Issyk-Kul International Forum, and other significant events. The head of the cabinet wished the employees of radio and television health, well-being, and success in their professional activities.
