Yuan and Tenge Set New Records Against the Som. Currency Exchange Rates on February 12

Yuan and tenge set new records against the som. Currency exchange rates as of February 12

The exchange rates of major currencies, including the yuan, tenge, and euro, have shown an increase again. While the Russian ruble has slightly decreased in value, the US dollar has remained unchanged. This data was provided by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange offices in Bishkek.

US Dollar:

Rate set by the NB KR: 87.45 soms (no change).

Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 87.36 soms, selling — 87.79 soms.

Euro:

Rate from the NB KR: 104.2273 soms (increase of 0.08 percent).

Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 103.38 soms, selling — 104.36 soms.

Russian Ruble:

Rate provided by the NB KR: 1.1318 soms (decrease of 0.009 percent).

Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 1.121 soms, selling — 1.155 soms.

Kazakh Tenge:

Rate from the NB KR: 0.1783 soms (increase of 0.39 percent). This is the highest level in the last two years. The tenge is showing the fastest strengthening among partner currencies this week.

Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 0.1511 soms, selling — 0.186 soms.

Chinese Yuan:

Rate from the NB KR: 12.6578 soms (increase of 0.06 percent). This is the third consecutive historical maximum against the som.

Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 12.4 soms, selling — 12.9 soms.
