During the discussion, the parties considered the prospects for cooperation in motorboating, as well as the possibility of organizing UIM competitions in Kyrgyzstan.
The President noted that the union's readiness to hold the world championship on Kyrgyz soil is an important step, especially in light of the active development of international cooperation in the country in the fields of sports and tourism, as well as the hosting of major events.
Sadyr Japarov also emphasized the presence of two international airports in the Issyk-Kul region — in Karakol and Tamchy, which welcome tourists. Additionally, five-star and seven-star hotels are actively being built along the shores of the lake.
Raffaele Chiulli spoke about the World Cup, which represents a global festival of motorboating. It includes the world championship for royal boat racing in the F1H2O class, as well as showcases of jet skiing, motor surfing, and hydro-flying.
Chiulli added that similar competitions have previously taken place in China, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam. He noted that water racing is one of the most spectacular sports, with broadcasts reaching over 86 countries and an audience of more than 900 million people.
In conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that hosting the UIM F1H2O World Cup, which will take place for the first time in Central Asia, will help demonstrate the tourism potential of Issyk-Kul and will serve as an important tool for promoting the national brand on the international stage.
