
In recent hours, the Ministry of Internal Affairs received 27 reports of possible violations; however, no serious incidents were recorded. This was stated by the head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sultan Makilov, at a press conference.
According to Makilov, the elections are taking place in a calm environment across the country.
“Out of the 27 reports received by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 8 were from Bishkek, 6 from the Chui region, 5 from Issyk-Kul, 4 from Batken, 2 from Jalal-Abad, 1 from Osh, and 1 from Talas regions. The majority of the complaints are related to violations of campaigning rules. Operational groups are dispatched to each report to address them. Overall, the elections are proceeding peacefully,” he noted.
It should be noted that today, extraordinary elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh are taking place in Kyrgyzstan. The country has formed 30 multi-mandate districts, from each of which three deputies will be elected, resulting in a total of 90 seats in parliament.
