- In 2025, the territorial offices of the Rosselkhoznadzor, working in conjunction with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Customs Service, and the FSB, managed to detect and return approximately 101 tons of pesticides and agrochemicals that do not have permission for circulation in Russia back to Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

These prohibited goods were produced in China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as in the countries of the European Union and Japan.

For comparison, in 2024, 110 tons of similar products were returned.

From 2022 to 2025, more than 231 tons of prohibited pesticides were not allowed for import.

“Due to the lack of adequate penalties for illegal import, the return of cargo proves to be not very effective. In addition, the territorial office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Orenburg region has thwarted repeated attempts to import the same pesticides and agrochemicals that were previously returned to Kazakhstan,” the statement notes.
