Specialists from the Rosselkhoznadzor noted that, despite the presence of a veterinary certificate from the Customs Union, the documents lacked data on laboratory tests confirming the safety of the products. As a result of the inspection, the inspectors identified a batch of meat produced by the "Eurasian Poultry Farm" from Kyrgyzstan.
The absence of laboratory confirmations of safety poses a potential threat to consumer health and may negatively impact the epizootic welfare in Russia. In accordance with the norms of the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union, the movement of this batch of meat across the territory of Russia was prohibited. The cargo was returned to Kazakhstan, and the carrier was fined for violating veterinary and sanitary regulations. These measures are aimed at protecting the domestic market and ensuring food safety for the population of Russia, Russian media report.
