In the Chuy region, an attempt to import 6,480 kilograms of fish products from the Islamic Republic of Iran was thwarted at the "Ak-Tilek" checkpoint, according to information provided by the Ministry of Agriculture.

The truck carrying the fish was unable to cross the country's border.

Employees of the border veterinary control point "Ak-Tilek" discovered discrepancies with the veterinary and sanitary standards established within the EAEU.

During the inspection, it was found that the transportation of the products was carried out in violation of the existing regulations. After establishing the facts of the violations, inspectors drew up a return act, and the cargo was sent back.

These measures are aimed at maintaining epizootic safety in the country, protecting public health, and ensuring compliance with unified veterinary control standards within the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Ministry reminds that any violations of veterinary and sanitary norms during the import and transportation of animal products may serve as grounds for refusal of import and the application of appropriate measures in accordance with the legislation.
