The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic has reported that an attempt to illegally import gold items has been thwarted. The information was provided by the agency's press service.
During a baggage check of one of the passengers at the airport in the city of Osh, gold items were discovered, including bracelets, chains, and earrings, produced in the EAEU countries. The total value of the discovered items amounted to over 13.9 million soms; however, they lacked the necessary accompanying documents.
Based on this incident, relevant reports were drawn up, and actions will be taken in accordance with the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The tax service continues its active work in identifying and preventing the circulation of unaccounted and smuggled goods within the country.
