The employees of the Border Management of the FSB of Russia and the Chelyabinsk Customs stopped an attempt to illegally import cast iron cookware. Almost 3,000 kazan (cauldrons), as well as their lids and handles, were being transported from Kyrgyzstan to Yekaterinburg, as reported by the press service of the Ural Customs Administration.

During the inspection of documents and the declaration, it was found that the cast iron products were marked as "conditional release".

The agency noted that such a marking indicates a prohibition on transferring the goods to third parties, including their sale, as well as prohibiting any use of these products.
An administrative offense case has been initiated against the violator under part 1 of Article 16.20 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The seized goods may now lead to a fine being imposed on the violator of customs regulations.
